Includes all parameters of the Pre Menopause Panel,
plus measurements for FSH & LH.
FSH
& LH
The Expanded Female Hormone Panel include FSH & LH measurements. The
salivary fraction of LH & FSH constitute a measurement of tissue concentration
of the bioactive hormone fraction. By coupling the gonadotropic hormones,
FSH with ovarian estrogen levels, and LH with progesterone levels, a more
precise brain-gonadal axis picture is formed.
Elevated FSH does
not always imply low estrogen, it may indicate a desensitized axis from
previous use of birth control pills, etc. Three to four measurements each
of LH & FSH are conducted and copared to the free fraction progesterone
and estradiol responses. A totally new dynamic naturalistic assessment
of a womans' reproductive hormone function is now available.
